Cryotherapy for Inflammation: What the Studies Show

Inflammation is one of the most common reasons people find their way to my studio, usually sore athletes and folks whose joints just feel stiff and cranky. So let me give you the honest version of what cold can do for it.
A whole-body session exposes your skin to a short burst of deep cold, and your body answers by calming down its inflammatory signals. The research here is actually solid, especially for post-workout recovery and for people with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. For everyday, low-grade inflammation the effect is gentler, but it is still real and it builds with consistency.
What to realistically expect
In my experience the first few sessions mostly bring better sleep and an energy lift. Around sessions four to six is when people start telling me their joints feel more comfortable and they are bouncing back faster after training. A steady rhythm of two or three sessions a week for a month is where the good stuff really shows up.
One thing I will always tell you straight. Cryo is a downstream tool. It supports the real work of sleep, nutrition, and movement, and it will not fix an underlying cause on its own. Paired with those basics, though, it is a genuinely helpful part of feeling better. Come in and we will build a plan around your goals.
